Save the Environment, Safe from Disasters

The National Clean Up month happens once every year where people will be cleaning up the community to protect it from disasters like unwanted diseases and flooding. In times like this, we need to engage ourselves to help clean up the environment so that there will be a place for future generations. Sometimes, human activities can cause disasters which can lead to danger in the community. So being prepared when a disaster hit is always better than preparing when a disaster hits.

Cleaning up the environment is an easy task as we have a large population in our country ranging from 100 million-112 million according to worldometer. But people have their own lives and the majority of the population are kids so they cannot join in cleaning up the environment. As for the rest of the population, I encourage you to help us clean up the environment by joining programs that involve cleaning up the environment. If you don’t have time joining programs, I suggest that you pick up 1 trash every day that you see in the streets. That way you can reduce the trash around and make the streets more attractive.

Speaking of trashes on the streets, sometimes when a heavy rain happens, streets often get flooded as the sewers are clogged up from the accumulated trash. Human activities contribute in making disasters so when you experience flooding on the streets, it may be that the sewers are clogged.

Another human activity that causes disaster is deforestation. Deforestation contributes in creating landslides whenever heavy rain happens.  There are ways to prevent these kinds of disaster; one is to clean the sewers often so that flooding will not occur whenever heavy rain happens and two is to implement a law regarding about banning deforestation in mountains or plant trees 2x on the number of trees you cut. These are some solutions to prevent these kinds of disasters from happening.

To sum it all up, every time National Clean Up month happens, I encourage you to join and take part so that we can preserve the environment for the future generations to see. I also encourage you to stop creating more activities that will hurt the environment and have the possibility to create a disaster.

  1. I agree, people ain't doing things nowadays. If I was a billionaire, I probably would invest some of my money for environmental protection.
